Welcome and thank you for visiting the Trevor Ball Memorial Scholarship website. These scholarships were created by friends and family of Trevor Frank Ball, who tragically passed away on September 1, 2014. The scholarships are designed to help some of our best and brightest students succeed in their quest for a college education. Trevor was an exceptional young man who excelled academically and had a very wide range of interests and experiences. It is the Fund’s intention, in the spirit of Trevor, to help other well rounded students to realize their ambitions and in the process help make the world a better place for all of us. We invite you to visit the other pages on this site to learn more about Trevor, the Scholarships and how to help us maintain these awards, while remembering this magnificent young man who left us much too soon.
“He was an extraordinary student. He was a very bright and talented and gifted young man, full of promise.”
Montana State Honors College Dean Dr. Ilse-Mari Lee
“Trevor had the attributes that I, as a parent and teacher, would hope that all young men would possess. He had a genuine desire to learn and a willingness to put in the time and effort to achieve his goals. He was a kind and caring person who was passionate about life.”
Dennis Peterson Helena Capital High School Math Teacher and Distinguished Educator Award Winner
“Trevor was (is) a very special student. In Honors Biology II and Science Seminar, he always had the highest grade because he was always prepared and knew how to study. His classmates loved him because he was never arrogant or boastful and was very caring and friendly. He had a fun loving, outdoors, “suck the marrow out of life” attitude, and he will be missed and remembered. His legacy will continue to be a true example of a class act Bruin role model!”
Tom Pedersen Helena Capital High School Science Teacher and 2012 Montana Teacher of the Year
